![]() Even the episodes which caused me to pass out (only 3 of them the whole pregnancy) didn't hurt my baby. The good news is I have been through one pregnancy like this and my son was born happy and healthy. My doctors sent me for an EKG and an echocardiogram just to rule out pumping issues. I get lightheaded, weak in my legs, dizzy (sometimes to the point of passing out). ![]() I have way more pacs and pvcs and they definitely make me symptomatic. So people who have experienced this once and a while have it far more often. I am actually High Risk bc of my condition so my cardio, regular ob, and high risk ob work very closely to monitor me. Plus the device never worked properly, their "Support" line entailed three hours of hold time, just to be told "Eeehhugh" by one of their "Representatives" who then hung up on me.Pregnancy hormones make all of this MUCH worse. Be very careful with Biotel, seems like a big scam operation to me. Plus only a couple days after I even got the bill, I started getting dozens of collection calls. The whole things sounds like a giant scam to me. They've claimed California Medicare won't cover that $900, which is strange, as I live in Wisconsin and have lived in Wisconsin for a decade now and have never lived in California. Now recently, a week into 2023, I get a bill for a tad over $900, the bill was dated November 14, the postmark on the envelope Was January 3. Between that footage, and UPS delivery numbers, when I did get a large bill claiming they never got the device, I called their bluff and told them I not only had footage of the device being itemized, packed, and sealed, but the tracking number for said package. When I returned it, I filmed, one single take, no pauses, packaging up and itemizing EVERYTHING, as I had had issues with the gizmo and had read online Biotel has a running scam of claiming they did not receive equipment back. I found this site as I have now been doing some digging on Biotel. I was unfortunate enough to need one of these about a year ago. Just stay calm, the 30 days will pass by quickly and it’ll be over before you know it. Both are waterproof and good down to 3 ft and have the cell phone with app so you can set it to Do Not Disturb during nights or any other time you can’t be disturbed(like church, work, etc) since the phone is what sends you alerts of loose connections or the unit getting a low battery, not the unit on your chest itself. I will say there are two versions of the one I received, one has the electrodes and wires and the other is the one I’m using. The one I’m using is called the Body Guardian Mini Plus. ![]() There are several different types of monitors so it really depends on what model your doctor uses as to which kind you’ll get. You can also use the app settings to put it on Do Not Disturb at night so it won’t bother you. There aren’t any visible wires and all you have to do is switch out only the monitoring unit for the other(you get two) when the first one has a low battery(after 24 hours my first monitoring unit is at 80% so you don’t have to swap units frequently and they provide a USB to double mini-USB charging cable with plug to charge the phone and other unit) and you need to change the sticker once a week(they gave me 4 so I have a spare.) You also receive a cell phone that you should keep within 10 feet of you at all times, but if you can’t, once you get to the phone it’ll send everything it recorded while you were away from it. Mine is simply a sticker stuck in the middle of my chest with a small waterproof monitoring attached to the sticker itself. I got my 30 day one yesterday and I can shower and swim(down to a 3 foot depth) in it.
